Management Team

Leylha Ahuile

President and Founder. The agency has become the place where Leylha has merged her passion for consumer behavior, her love of books, and her knack for numbers. Leylha is a natural problem solver and that has led her to facilitate strategic partnerships on behalf of her clients that have resulted in considerable business. Prior to establishing PromoLatino, Leylha was Vice President and Publisher of Trade for Santillana Publishing which is part of the global media group, Prisa. Before joining Santillana, she founded and managed Absa Technologies, one of the most successful education dealers for Apple computers. Leylha was also the Senior Multicultural Analyst for Mintel International Group, a leading global market research firm specializing in consumer, product and innovation across categories. She oversaw the launch and management of Mintel’s Multicultural America series that focused on the behaviors and trends among Hispanic, African American, and Asian American consumers. Leylha, a native of Chile, is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences, where she often addresses opportunities that exist within the unique and complex U.S. Hispanic marketplace.

Erik Riesenberg

Vice President. Erik has been in the publishing industry for over 15 years in a variety of editorial, marketing, and sales positions. Working with such houses as Penguin Random House, Avalon Publishing, and Berlitz, Erik honed his skills and experience as Associate Publisher, Director of International Marketing and Sales, Marketing Director, and Sales Director of Library and Academic Accounts. As a publisher, Erik acquired and published many of the Spanish bestsellers, including works by Ismael Cala, José Fernández, Julia Álvarez, Leila Cobo, Dr. Elmer Huerta, Dra. Isabel, Elaine King, among many others. In his marketing roles, he was responsible for creating and implementing 360-degree marketing and publicity campaigns for books and authors throughout the United States, Latin America, Europe, and the Caribbean. Erik has worked directly with retail, library, educational, online, and wholesale accounts throughout the regions to grow print and ebook sales for Spanish, English, and Portuguese titles. Erik has experience with nearly every aspect of book publishing, including acquisitions, editing, design, production, e-book conversions, publicity, marketing, and both domestic and international sales.
